We are excited to introduce our new health and fitness guest blogger in 2011, Nikki Fogden.
Nikki studied nutrition and personal training and has been doing sports competitively since her school days. Today she has her own business, Life’s a Gym and she continues to compete at a recreational level in triathlon multiport events.
We interviewed her to find out about the important stuff- what inspires her, her greatest achievements, and of course, what’s her favourite food. Read on to get better acquainted with our new guest blogger:
So Nikki, what inspired you to start your own business?
Helping people feel their personal best with a simple and fresh approach - empowering them with knowledge to make the best decisions in regards to optimal health and fitness.
Have you always been so passionate about health and wellbeing?
Yes since day 1! Outdoors, fresh air, sports and being fit and healthy is a part of my DNA.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome?
Daring to follow my dream even though it didn't fit everyone’s idea of 'an office job.'
What do you rate as your biggest achievement?
Setting up Life's a Gym and seeing how clients have transformed their lives - by giving personalised programs and advice.
What's your favourite food?
Hmmmm that's a tough one - I'd have to say SALADS - fresh ingredients are always top of my list. Although I do have a weakness for carrot cake...
What's your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
At the beach, surf, run, tennis, bike or swim.
