You seek and destroy…Sound appealing? This is the idea behind the computer game Re-Mission, designed to help people fight cancer from the inside out!
For those of you who enjoy gaming but don’t experience separation anxiety when you haven’t used your PlayStation for a day, this could be a game for you. It’s got everything you could want in a computer game. It’s relatively easy to pick up, the graphics are decent and the whole objective is to blow things (like cancer cells) up.
I have to admit, personally I’m a huge Crash Bandicoot fan and love games like Doom. While Re-Mission is relatively easy to play, it does have varying degrees of difficulty and is not as easy as one would initially think (i.e. me).
It also feels good to wage war on cancer cells…even if it is through a computer game. The nonprofit HopeLab designed Re-Mission to show teens and young adults with cancer the importance of sticking to their meds, and playing the game has even been proven to have therapeutic benefits for people who are undergoing cancer treatment.
