In the US, April 5-11 is National Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week.
As part of this, the Lance Armstrong foundation has launched a series of 13 podcasts for AYA (adolescent and young adult) survivors. They cover topics such as fertility, family and friends, fear of dying, dating and sexuality, body changes, pain management, school and work, and loads of other really relevant stuff.
Although Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week does not currently exist in Australia, there are many ways you can make your voice heard and speak up about issues that are important for you. From young adult cancer wards to medicare-covered sperm banking, visit our Have Your Say forum to swap ideas and support.
