Relapse
Relapse (also known as recurrence) is return of a sign, symptom, or tumour after a remission of cancer. -
Remission
Remission occurs when the evidence and symptoms of cancer are reduced or disappear. -
Going back for check ups
Unfortunately, going back regularly for scans and tests are part of surviving cancer. Once your treatment has finished, you will still need to have regular check ups with your oncologist or doctor. -
Late effects
There are some side effects from treatment that might not show up until later in life. These are called late effects. -
Taking care of yourself
Staying healthy takes work. If you don’t take care of yourself then you can’t take care of anyone else.
