Life at Home
Once cancer is diagnosed, life at home becomes completely different. And it probably won't ever go back to the way it was. Your role at home and relationships with family members may change as well. -
School
If you're in school it forms a big chunk of your life. Having cancer in your family can affect you at school in lots of ways - academically and socially. -
Study
At uni or TAFE, it might go unnoticed that you're skipping lots of classes or failing a subject. If you can't cope with your study load it's up to you to speak up about it. -
Work
Whether it's a welcome distraction or the absolute last thing on your mind, your commitments to work are still there. Find out about your rights when it comes to taking time off work. -
Sport and hobbies
It's good to keep doing the things you're used to doing. Keeping some 'normal' things in your life can help you stay sane and prevent you from feeling totally isolated. -
