Pulmonary Function Test

A pulmonary function test measures how well your lungs work.

Specifically, they measure:

  • How much air they can hold.
  • How quickly you can move air in and out of your lungs.
  • How well your lungs put oxygen into and remove carbon dioxide from your blood.

You may have a pulmonary function test because some chemotherapy drugs affect lung functioning.
